Traditional Glazed
BYRON MYRICK
MYRICK BONSAI POTTERY
Mississippi, USA
2025

5 x 8 x 4.25 inches
Stoneware Clay, Sprayed Wood Ash Glaze
Slab Constructed, Unique Glaze Formula
Gas Fired, Cone 8-10
"This hexagon container is slab constructed, it measures 8”by 8” and is 5” tall. Made from a stoneware clay, it was fired in a gas kiln to temperatures between cone 8 and cone 10. The pot weighs 2lbs. 11oz., is glazed with a wood ash glaze and sprayed application. The glaze was formulated and mixed by me. The design is traditionally influenced, plain in form but eye catching by way of the glaze movement and pattern. The pot’s semi-cascade proportions and glaze characteristics would work well with a twisted Prunus."
