Traditional Glazed BYRON MYRICK
MYRICK BONSAI POTTERY Mississippi, USA 2025 3.75 x 11.5 x 2.75 inches Stoneware Clay, Double Layered Glaze Glazes Formulated and Mixed by Artist Gas Fired, Cone 8-10 "This container is 11 3/8” in diameter and is 3 3/4” tall. Made on the potter’s wheel using a stoneware clay , fired in a gas kiln to between cone 8-10. The pot weighs 4 lbs. 7oz., glazed by layering two glazes , both formulated and mixed by me. The pot is traditional in its shape and proportions and has feet that are cloud-style influenced. The feet were press-molded from a mold I made. Because of the glaze and form and its formal shape, I imagine an upright deciduous tree or perhaps a lower-growing live oak-style Kingsville boxwood planted in this pot."
