Wheel Thrown, Hand Applied Feet and Decorations
Gas Fired, Cone 8 - 10

"This semi-cascade container is 8” in diameter and 5” tall. Made of stoneware clay, fired in a gas kiln to between cone 8 - 10. The pot weighs 2 lbs. 13 oz. and is glazed with a layering of two glazes, sprayed application, both glazes were formulated and mixed by me. The container was formed on the potter’s wheel, with additions of feet and decoration added."

Byron Myrick lives in Moselle, Mississippi. A retired art instructor, I taught for 30 years at Jones College in Ellisville, Ms. I have been a producing pottery since college, making both functional and decorative ware. Once I became interested in bonsai, I began studying and producing bonsai containers for the last 20 years.
