R E C T A N G L E Traditional Glazed MICHELLE RAUSCH
SATORI BONSAI Colorado, USA 2025 4 x 11 x 3 inches Mid-fire Red Clay Slab Built, Electric Fired to Cone 6 "This pot was slab built with beautiful mid-fire red clay. The feet are hand made. It took about 8 hours to create this pot (not including drying, bisquing, or firing time). The pot was glazed with multiple store bought glazes and fired to a cone 6 in an electric kiln.
With this pot I tried to honor the traditional Japanese ways of construction while adding my love for textures and glaze that will be complimentary to many styles of tree." - Michelle Rausch |

I started doing pottery in 2007 and began focusing on bonsai pottery in 2020. I am from Littleton, Colorado where my husband and I have a small bonsai and bonsai pottery studio. I like to utilize different textures, and to showcase how glazes can break over patterns to accentuate it.
