In the art of bonsai, I create durable ceramic containers in service of the art of bonsai—a tradition that has long inspired me with its quiet power and refined simplicity. Working with mid-range clay bodies, I fire each piece to its highest maturity, ensuring strength, resilience, and a grounded presence. Guided by the aesthetics of Wabi Sabi, my forms are subtle and restrained, inviting a kind of stillness. Each pot is meant to act not as a centerpiece, but as a quiet companion—allowing the tree’s unique spirit to come forward.

My journey as a bonsai potter is rooted in a deep respect for nature, form, and the spaces in between. I aim to create pieces that harmonize with living trees, accentuating their character without distraction. For me, the pot is an extension of the tree’s expression—a vessel that supports not only growth, but a deeper relationship between the natural world and the human hand.
